AHeAD Leadership Presents at State AI Symposium

On August 12-13, 2026, Dr. Raju Gottumukkala and Dr. Aron Culotta presented at the Louisiana Department of Health Artificial Intelligence Symposium, hosted by the Office of Public Health in partnership with the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business Executive Education.
Dr. Gottumukkala presented “Practical Application of AI Use in Emergency Preparedness,” and Dr. Culotta presented ” Using AI to Simplify Public Health Work Without Compromising What Matters Most” with a team from Tulane.
The two-day symposium provided an opportunity to explore the fundamentals and practical applications of artificial intelligence across public health and state government. Sessions covered trustworthy AI, governance, legal and ethical considerations, AI fundamentals, prompt engineering, quality improvement, decision-making, workforce efficiency, emergency preparedness, and developing actionable AI policy.
